BASIC PROLONGED CARE COURSE
THE MISSION
The objective of this course is to familiarize the entry-level provider, with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide Prolonged Casualty Care (PCC) procedures to casualties in order to sustain them beyond doctrinal evacuation timelines.

Outdoorsmen or people working in remote environments (Hikers, Campers etc.)
PREREQUISITE
This course teaches the topic from the ground up, however we highly recommend taking a point-of-injury medicine course such as TCCC-ASM or the EURMED TFR course prior to this to have better understanding of the matter.
THE COURSE
The course will be held in person and is a combination of classroom training interlaced with practical exercises at critical points to fortify the understanding of the material.
Multiple skill labs are held throughout the course and every day ends with an open training session where students can revise the material with their peers or talk with the instructor cadre if desired.
The last day culminates with a prolonged casualty care exercise where students will take care of critical casualties in small teams under realistic environmental circumstances.

THE EXAM
After completing the course students can attempt the theoretical exam, which is comprised of 30 single-choice questions.
The practical skills are evaluated based on the skill labs throughout the course as well as the performance during the final exercise.
After passing the exam ad completing all skill labs successfully students will be presented with a passing certificate.
